Windows Help

This section provides direct access to the Microsoft Windows help on topics related to your computer and its operating system (i.e. Microsoft Windows). This includes an explanation of terms frequently encountered when referring to computer related issues (Windows Glossary), an introduction to the features and usage of your Windows version (Windows Tutorial), and the central(ized) access point to the on- and offline documentation of your operating system (Windows Main Help/Help and Support Center).

Note, that the Windows offline help, that is the help that describes the features of your operating system and how to use them, even when you are not connected to the Internet, is only available up to and including Windows 7, and possibly, Windows 8. The reason therefore being that, as of Windows 10, Microsoft definitely ceased to include an offline help as part of its operating system.

Furthermore, due to the security measures implemented in Windows and the fact that the links on these pages trigger the execution of various applications on your computer, this LFNAlias Version 1.0 Help feature is only supported in the compiled, offline (i.e. the .chm) version. That is, in the help version installed as part of the LFNAlias Version 1.0 application. It is not supported/available in the "plain", uncompiled, Hypertext Markup Language (HTML) version published on the Internet (i.e. on this page).
