Upon your acceptance of the terms and conditions of this License Agreement, SST grants you the right to use the Software in the manner set forth below.

The Software is owned by SST and/or its suppliers and is protected by national (and international) copyright laws and copyright treaties. Therefore, you must treat this Software like any other copyrighted material (e.g., a book), except that you may either make one copy of the Software solely for backup or archival purposes or transfer the Software to a single hard disk provided you keep the original solely for backup or archival purposes. You further acknowledge and agree that ownership of, and title to all copies of the Software, regardless of the form or media, are held by SST and/or its suppliers.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, SST expressly disclaims any warranty for the Software. The Software and any related documentation are provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, either express or implied, including, without limitation, the implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement, with regard to the Software, and the provision of or failure to provide support services. In no event shall SST or its suppliers be liable for any special, incidental, indirect, or consequential damages, including, without limitation, damages for loss of business profits, business interruption, loss of business information, or any other pecuniary loss arising out of the use of or the inability to use the Software or the provision of or failure to provide support services. The entire risk arising out of use or performance of the Software remains with you.

The Software is not fault-tolerant and is not designed, manufactured or intended for use or resale as on-line control equipment in hazardous environments requiring fail-safe performance, such as in the operation of nuclear facilities, aircraft navigation or communication systems, air traffic control, direct life support machines, or weapons systems, in which the failure of the Software could lead directly to death, personal injury, or severe physical or environmental damage ("High Risk Activities"). SST and its suppliers specifically disclaim any express or implied warranty of fitness for High Risk Activities.

You are not entitled to lease, rent, distribute or sub-license the Software, electronically transmit, or to use the Software in a time-sharing arrangement without prior written consent by SST. You may transfer the Software and documentation on a permanent basis, provided you do not charge any fees, transfer a complete and unaltered copy of the software, and that the recipient agrees to the terms of the License Agreement.

You acknowledge and agree that the software in source code form, and the structure, sequence and organization of the Software are valuable trade secrets of SST and its suppliers. You agree to hold such trade secrets in confidence. Therefore, you agree not to modify, reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Software, or any portions thereof. However, if you are a European Community ("EC") resident, information necessary to achieve interoperability of the Software with other programs within the meaning of the U.K. Copyright [Computer Program] Regulations (of) 1992, implementing the EC Directive on the Legal Protection of Computer Programs, is available to you from SST upon written request.

Subject to the provisions and limitations contained in this License Agreement, SST hereby grants you a License to install and use the Software free of charge.

This license will expire fifty (50) years from the date that you first use the Software, if it is not earlier terminated. You may terminate it at any time by destroying the Software and documentation together with all copies and merged portions in any form. It will also terminate immediately if you fail to comply with any term or condition of this License Agreement. Upon such termination you agree to destroy the Software and documentation, together with all copies and merged portions in any form.

SST is not obliged to provide maintenance, updates or support for the Software.

This License Agreement shall be governed by the laws of the Republic of France and the European Community ("EC"). You agree that the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (1980) is hereby excluded.

SST reserves all rights not specifically granted in this statement. In the event any provision of this License Agreement is found to be invalid, illegal or unenforceable, the validity, legality and enforceability of any of the remaining provisions shall not in any way be affected or impaired and a valid, legal and enforceable provision of similar intent and economic impact shall be substituted therefor. This License Agreement sets forth the entire understanding and agreement between you and SST, and may only be modified or amended in a written document signed by both parties.
