The Warning Dialog is characterized by a large, yellow Warning Triangle on its left-hand side. It is displayed whenever the Setup Launcher encounters a situation requiring a conscious decision or action by the user. |
The Warning Text |
---|
![]() |
Provides a brief description of the reason for the warning.
Generally, this also includes a numerical value that is
the error code that caused the dialog to be displayed.
The error code is given in both decimal and hexadecimal notation.
It should be listed in both notations in either
Table 1: Security Warnings
or
Table 2: Exit Codes
on the
Warnings and Errors page,
which provides additional information on the
potential causes and remedies for the warning (or error).
Furthermore, as the Setup Launcher uses predominantly
system error codes, the error codes can also be used to
retrieve the user friendly error text
in languages other than English.
Portions or the entire text can also be selected, copied, and saved,
so that further information can be gathered and a decision
made at greater leisure.
