Registry Entries
This page lists and describes the modifications that are made to the Windows registry as a result of installing and using LFNAlias Version 1.0.
The Windows registry is the central repository for the configuration information of the operating system (i.e. Windows) and third party software (e.g. that of SST applications). It is a hierarchical database that can be edited by means of various applications, at least one of which is commonly installed under all Windows versions.
However, the listed and described registry entries are only those that are explicitly created, modified, and/or deleted by the application itself and the setup wizard used to install it. Operating system (i.e. Windows) services and programs, such as Microsoft Installer, that are automatically run by Windows to install, open, configure, and/or maintain the application and its user specific data, generally also create and/or modify registry keys and/or entries, that may vary with the Windows version, edition, and/or installed updates, and are therefore not listed on this page.

Abbreviations

–   REG_DWORD: 32 bit (4 bytes), binary (numerical) value.
–   REG_SZ: Zero terminated text of arbitrary length.
–   REG_BINARY: Binary data of arbitrary length.

Remarks
*1  Only created if not already present.
*2  Path and name of the file loaded per default.
*3  The XYZ part of the value name is a placeholder for the text representations of numerical values, such as 01, 21, 57, 101, etc.
*4  The XY part of the value name is a placeholder for the text representation of a numerical value from 01 to 10.
*5  Not set by SST applications.
*6  GUID is a placeholder for a text representation of a Globally Unique Identifier (GUID).
