The LFNAlias Browse for Files or Folders Dialog

Dialog with which a file or folder can be located and selected.

The path of the selected folder or file is automatically entered into the Folder/File Path and Name Combo Box, once the dialog is closed by means of its OK Button

It is opened/displayed when either the Browse to select ... menu item in the Main Menu's File Menu on the Browse Button on the Convert Panel is clicked/selected.

Unlike the List View(s) preferred by many users (for example that in the Load Output File Dialog), the Browse for Files or Folders Dialog's Tree View provides a hierarchical view of the folders and files on the computer. Furthermore, it is possible to select both tyoes of file system objects, folders and files, in it. The name of the file or folder selected in it is automatically entered into the File/Folder Name Edit Field, and if the dialog is szbsequently closed by means of the OK Button the full path and name of the selected folder or file will be entered into the Folder/File Path and Name Combo Box.

Unlike the List View(s) preferred by many users (for example that in the Load Output File Dialog), the Browse for Files or Folders Dialog's Tree View provides a hierarchical view of the folders and files on the computer. Furthermore, it is possible to select both tyoes of file system objects, folders and files, in it.

The name of the file or folder selected in it is automatically entered into the File/Folder Name Edit Field, and if the dialog is szbsequently closed by means of the OK Button the full path and name of the selected folder or file will be entered into the Folder/File Path and Name Combo Box.

Creates a new folder in the location selected in the dialog's Tree View.

File/Folder Name Edit Field

Determines the name (and extension, if specified) of the folder or file, the full path and name of which will be entered into the Convert Panel's Folder/File Path and Name Combo Box, if the dialog is closed by means of its OK Button. Although the edit field can also be used to enter a folder or file name manually, by means of the keyboard, the by far more preferable method (because less error prone) is to select a file system object (i.e. a file or folder) in the dialog's Tree View.
