However, this, basic requirement is normally fulfilled per default, under all
supported Windows versions (i.e. under Windows 2000 with Service Pack 4 and later).

If either the web or self-extracting package is used to perform the installation,
read, write, and list contents permissions to the folder the setup package is located
in, are required. This automatically excludes all read-only media, such as CDs and DVDs,
from being valid locations for these setup packages during installation.

If the installation is to be performed by means of the LFNAlias web setup
package, a stable Internet connection is required for the entire duration
of the installation.

If an installation by means of the disk setup package is intended, an application capable of
listing and decompressing the contents of a (LZ-compressed) cabinet archive is required.

If LFNAlias Version 1.0 is to be installed for all users (per machine installation) on a NT-based system,
an administrator has to perform the installation.
Under systems with User Account Control (UAC), depending on the security policy in place,
this may apply to all types of installation.

If the installation is performed under a non-administrator account on a NT-based system with
User Account Control (UAC), an administrator password may have to be provided to elevate the
privileges of the installation process.
