The LFNAlias 8.3 Name Support Info Dialog
Fig. 2.1.1.2.2.1.0.950
Dialog that is displayed to inform you that short, 8.3, DOS, file names are not created/supported on one or more, local, NT File System (NTFS) volumes/drives.
Unless suppressed, it is displayed during application startup, immediately before the Main Window itself is displayed.

Information Icon
Information Icon Fig. 2.1.1.2.2.1.0.951
Graphic that symbolizes that the application has information that may require your attention.
The Information Icon can vary in look, color, and size, depending on the Windows version/edition and the system/display settings under which LFNAlias is being run. Typically it consists of the white letter i, on a blue, circular background.
The icon depicted in Fig. 2.1.1.2.2.1.0.951 is that shown under Windows Vista, using high resolution, colour display settings.

The Dialog Text
Dialog Text Fig. 2.1.1.2.2.1.0.952
Provides information on which local NTFS volumes/drives do not support short, DOS, 8.3 file names.

Suppress this Dialog Check Box
Fig. 2.1.1.2.2.1.0.953 Fig. 2.1.1.2.2.1.0.954
As long as the check box is not checked (as in Fig. 2.1.1.2.2.1.0.953) when it is closed, the dialog will continue to be displayed during application startup, whenever LFNAlias detects that one or more local, NTFS volumes/drives do not create and maintain short, 8.3, DOS names.
If the dialog is closed while the Suppress this Dialog Check Box is checked (as in Fig. 2.1.1.2.2.1.0.954), it will not be displayed.
Whether the 8.3 Name Support Info Dialog is/should be displayed (or not) can also be configured and/or determined on the 8.3 Dialogs Tab Sheet of the Preferences Dialog.
Note also, that like the OK Button, at the bottom of the dialog, the Suppress this Dialog Check Box's text (to the right of the check box itself) is always in the language of the operating system's user interface (i.e. that of the Windows shell), and not in that of the installed LFNAlias version.

OK Button
Fig. 2.1.1.2.2.1.0.958
Closes the dialog and displays the LFNAlias' Main Window.
Note, that the caption of this button is always in the language of the user interface of the operating system (i.e. Windows) and not in the language of the installed version of LFNAlias.
